Mission: Finding Love for every one that has never known what it means
Quote of the Month
The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them. That's the essence of inhumanity.

- - SPECIAL NOTICE - - We were called to take care of a hoarder situation just after the first of the year. We still have 18 full grown cats looking for new homes. All have been spayed or neutered. This is a serious overload of our feline housing capabilities. We need homes for these cats very soon! All have been indoor/outdoor.
The North Arkansas Central Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals A "Next Generation" Animal Shelter
The North Arkansas Central SPCA is an exciting and constantly growing organization. Why Opportunity Inc? Because we provide opportunites for not only the dogs and cats that are forced to live with us for awhile, we also provide opportunities to each of the people who come into our drive. We take an active interest in each one, animals and people, to work to see their dreams and wishes come true. We hope you too will consider coming out to the complex and seeing for yourself the great things that are happening here. We are happy to provide a tour of the all new shelter complex pretty much anytime and we look forward to seeing and visiting with you soon!
COMING SOON! The Online Open House (A video tour of the NAC SPCA Shelter complex) Click Here!
Is the NAC SPCA affiliated with or supported by the ASCPA? No, we are not. Fact: The ASPCA is a New York City only organization. No private SPCA anywhere in the country is supported by their organization. Donations made to the ASPCA do not help your local SPCA in any way.
Are you truly helping your local shelter? Or, helping a million dollar organization? Please be sure where your money really goes and how it is used. Small animal welfare groups like ours struggle everyday just to remain open for you, while the big (supposedly) national organizations just get bigger and when asked, do nothing for you...
The National Council of Non-Profits says, "Small and midsize nonprofits, the lifeblood of America's communities, are showing their tenacity during the economic decline, making the most of shrinking resources as they strive to meet the growing demands for their services." MONTHLY SPONSORS NEEDED NOW Monthly donations ranging from $5 to $30 are used specifically to feed the dogs while they are here waiting their chance to impress the next person who comes down our drive. Monthly donations ranging from $30 to $100 or more are used to spay / neuter each dog before it leaves the NAC SPCA facility for its new home and family. (99% of the dogs that come to this facility are not spayed or neutered and if it's not done while they are here, it probably never will be. ) To become a Monthly Sponsor, click on any "Donate Now" button anywhere within the site, or call the shelter office at (870) 453-7249 anytime.
WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?
A Friend is :
Someone who doesn't care if you're right or wrong. He'll be there to back you 100% no matter what.
Someone who won't argue with you about what's for dinner, or what we should do today. He'll be happy to just be with you whatever you decide.
Someone who is always happy to just lay at your feet and have you close by.
Someone who will never lie to you or go behind your back and cause you harm. His loyalty and care for your well-being is genuine and sincere.
Someone who will never steal from you, in fact he will lay down his life to protect the things that are yours simply because they are yours.
Someone who does not require expensive gifts to remain your friend or partner. Your friendship alone is enough.
Someone who will not turn their back on you when they find you just cannot be everything they thought you were.
Someone who doesn't care how big your house is, how new your car is, how expensive your watch is. He loves you just for who you are, his friend.
Someone who will go out of his way - everytime he sees you - to make you happy.
Someone who is always ready to listen to whatever you have to say. You can be happy or sad, in a hurry or mad, and he will always be willing to show you he cares.
That's a lot to ask of a friend so... You say "No friend will do ALL of these things for me everyday" and I'll say, "Let me show you My Dog".
Toys ! - Toys ! - Toys ! Nope, it's not my birthday, We need Toys for the dogs! Those 88¢ rope toys they sell at Wal-Mart will do just fine.
I've never had a dog hand one back to me and say, "This didn't cost enough..."
We'll even take your old shoes! You were just going to throw them away anyway. You don't even have to come all the way out here to bring them!
I'd like to donate, but I don't have the time to drive all the way out to your shelter...
NOT A PROBLEM!

the North Arkansas Central SPCA is proud to be a Member Hill's Science Diet Shelter Nutrition Program. All of our dogs are fed a specific diet to promote the best health we can achieve before they go to their own new families and forever homes. HILL'S SCIENCE DIET IS THE ONLY DOG FOOD MANUFACTURER TO DONATE DOG AND CAT FOOD TO the NAC SPCA FOR THE GASSVILLE TORNADO VICTIMS. WE CAN'T THANK THEM ENOUGH FOR THEIR SUPPORT. WE COULD NOT HAVE DONE WHAT WE'VE DONE WITHOUT THEM.
Also we wish to thank PetMeds for the sponsorship they have provided.
