In a special move by the Briarcliff City Council, the contract for Animal Control Officer was awarded to Solutions for People Created with Animals.

Folks needing to report dogs or cats in the City of Briarcliff will go about it the same old way. What has changed is the place the animals are taken and how they are cared for. Impounded dogs and cats are now being taken to the SPCA shelter facility and will be held for 2 weeks before being placed up for adoption, rather than the 3 days and then transported to the Baxter County Humane Society as they were before.

"We are very happy with this new arrangement and look forward to a long lasting relationship with the city of Briarcliff" said Charlie Campbell, President of the SPCA.
