Preferred fostering homes would be ones with no other dogs, and no kids. Each of these dogs will need to be kept indoors and have access to a fenced yard. All of these dogs will be in fairly intensive training by SPCA Board Member, Carol Rinker, and need as little outside influences while at home as possible. Foster parents will need to be able to work with Carol on training schedules and locations as well as re-enforce the training given by Carol at all times. This will include taking the dog with them to public areas and working with them in stores, restaurants, and crowded areas. Fostering homes MUST UNDERSTAND that these dogs cannot be made available for adoption to the fostering homes, we must have them back.
None of these dogs are spayed or neutered at the moment but we will pay for and make arrangements to have them done. The shelter will provide for food and veterinary expenses while they are being fostered.
