What are your qualifications to train Service Dogs?
Our Training Director, Beth Levine was trained by Dana Babbs who owns and operates Pawsibilities in Washington St. Dana was a consultant for the federal government and instrumental in the wording of the current American with Disabilities Act regarding Service Dogs. After being trained, and having trained three of her own service dogs, Beth was Certified by Pawsibilities before coming to join the SPCA in November of 2009. Beside being physically and psychologically disabled herself, Beth has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Mental Health. The entire staff of the SPCA works with Beth during the training of each Service Dog in Training as assistants in all aspects of the training process.
